Welcome to Fungal Ecology Cardiff, the official website for the internationally-renowned fungi group at Cardiff University. Led by Professor Lynne Boddy and Dr Sarah Christofides, we research many kinds of fungal interactions in the environment. We specialise in tree-associated fungi, particularly wood-decay basidiomycetes. In these pages you can find information on our team, research, and educational activities.
We are based in Cardiff School of Biosciences and affiliated to the Organisms and Environment research division.
